Children from Maisondieu Primary School were entertained by a cyclists from the Riderz stunt cycle team this afternoon to help spread the message ‘Give Me Cycle Space’.
The riders wowed the audience with their spins, jumps and tricks.
The event, coordinated by Cycling Scotland, is hoped to encourage more children to get on their bikes for a healthier, fitter lifestyle, and if the noise and enthusiasm shown by the pupils is anything to go by they did just that.
The campaign aims to break down the biggest barrier to kids riding their bikes to school – parents’ fear of busy roads – by making motorists more aware and considerate of child cyclists.
Keep an eye on out for a video of the event, and check out next week’s Brechin Advertiser for more pictures.
