Smyleetots parent, baby and toddler group have been voted as one of East Scotland’s favourite toddler group in a competition run by Netmums.com.
The group, which meets at Brechin Cathedral Hall on a Monday and Thursday morning, has been active for the last 12 years and is open to children from birth to five years.
Former chairperson and committee member Sarah Clark said: “We are delighted to have won this award, it’s a real well deserved boost to all our parents (past and present), children and members of the community who have supported us over the years and worked hard to make Smyleetots, which is completely voluntarily run by the parents.
“Brechin is one of the few towns in Angus that does not have a playgroup or two’s group.
“It’s great to have somewhere to go that’s open to everyone and provides an environment for the kids to mix with each other without the added expense of private nursery– and it’s great to meet new parents/grandparents in the process.
“Having so much on offer at Smyleetots and maintaining this requires a lot of hard work and dedication, so well done to everyone – there are far too many people to name but you know who you all are, great team effort!”
They will soon take part in their annual sponsored toddle.
