Pupils at Brechin’s Maisondieu Primary School recently took part in a World of Work and Leisure event.

A variety of local clubs and associations came along one afternoon during the two-week focus and set up information stalls in the gym hall. It was a great success, giving pupils and their parents an opportunity to find out about clubs and activities available to children in the local community. During the afternoon, the school ran a Fairtrade café raising £90, bringing the school a step closer to being a Fairtrade school.

The World of Work and Leisure focus has been hugely successful and the staff and pupils of Maisondieu would like to thank all the visitors that have come along to the school to tell the pupils about their work and the opportunities that are available for children and young people in the local community.

The pupils were also treated to a visit from Brechin’s own TV journalist Andrea Brymer (see page 12 for more).
