THE Edzell Gala Week gets underway this Saturday with the crowning of the Gala Queen in Inglis Hall.

Following the crowning at 12 noon it will be on to Edzell Muir for the fancy dress competition and the gala events.

There will be traditional stalls for local organisations, with bottle stalls, throw-the-welly, tombola, etc., and there will also be a good selection of craft stalls selling their own goods, including jewellery, bags photographs and even a massage.

There will be a demonstration from the Angus Dog Agility Club and also some local scooter enthusiasts popping along to show off their customised bikes.

There will, indeed, be something fro everyone.

On Saturday evening there is a music evening, featuring local musicians Georgia Crawl, starting at 7.30 pm at the Inglis Hall.

The annual bingo night is on Wednesday (tonight) at Inglis Hall and the quiz on Thursday in the Panmure Arms Hotel.

The following weekend is the annual Edzell Flower show in Inglis Hall and the Beat-The-Clock Fun Run.

Schedules for the flower show are available in Edzell village shops.
