The Edzell Lethnot Glenesk Church Guild, along with members of other churches, held a songs of praise on Sunday, November 18, to mark Guild Week and the Guild’s 125th anniversary.
David Gray led the service with hymns and prayers. Readings were given by Ann Smedley, Gladys Stewart, john Morris, Christie Bing, Margaret Taylor and Mildred Hoskins.
On Tuesday, November 20, the guild held their guest afternoon, again with members of other churches.
Lorna Ruxton gave a demonstration of beauty with Dorothy Graeham of Friockheim and Margaret Dayman of Edzell.
This year’s shoebox appeal gathered 43 boxes and £80 in donations from those who did not fill a box.
Thanks were expressed to parents and pupils of Edzell Primary School for their donations and to the ladies who kindly filled them.
