The City of Brechin and District Community Council have organised a public meeting to discuss the issue of dog fouling and litter in the area. The meeting will take place on Monday, September 17 at 7pm in the Damacre Centre.
Three Community Council officers will be in attendance. There will be a presentation followed by a question and answer session.
This has been a long standing issue in the town, with members of the public contacting the newspaper to voice their concerns about “irresponsible” dog owners.
Councillor Bob Myles has previously said of the dog fouling issue: “We have improved the situation with Community wardens now able to act on it.
“However, the problem lies with dog owners. Its difficult to catch them in the act.
“What I would say to dog owners is please act responsibly and pick up after your dog.”
Local Brechiner Jodi Scott has finished her recent round of fund-raising for Cancer Research UK.
