The Friends of Stracathro donated a valuable and useful piece of equipment - a vein viewer - to The Susan Carnegie Centre.

The Vein Viewer enables doctors and nurses to locate good veins of patients prior to injections. ‘The Friends’ work to enhance the wonderful service being offered to the public of Angus and the Mearns. To date, they have invested £378,611 with money coming through bequests, donations and generosity of other organisations.

The Friends of Stracathro Hospital will hold their annual general meeting on February 11.

The meeting will be held in the seminar room at Stracathro Hospital at 11.00a.m.

Ruth Leslie Melville, Chair of the Friends of Stracathro Hospital, said: “We should be delighted to welcome anyone interested in learning more about us.

“If you would like to speak to me about getting involved with us, please contact me on 07730 884308.”
