Part of Swan Street was cordoned off on Wednesday due to falling slates.

Officers from Tayside Police and Tayside Fire and Rescue attended the building in Swan Street, where they cordoned off the area around the building before removing a number of slates which had become loose.

The street remained cordoned off the next day to allow repair works to take place.

A spokesperson for Tayside Fire and Rescue said: “Tayside Fire and Rescue attended at 11.36 am due to loose slates which were falling from a building in Swan Street.

“The slates were a danger to the passing public so they were removed and the area cordoned off.

“This was all done in conjunction with Tayside Police.”
