This Christmas, Tesco will be running their third Neighbourhood Food Collection in a bid to collect 10 million meals for those in need by the end of the year.
Customers at Tesco in Montrose and Forfar will be invited to donate food in store from this Friday (November 29) until Sunday (December 1).
Tesco will be joined by Foodbank charity the Trussell Trust, and food redistribution charity FareShare for the collection.
Customers at the stores will be given a special selected shopping list when they enter the store and will be asked to pick up an item of food such as long-life milk, cereal, tinned foods and tea and coffee before donating it at the end of their shop.
The food will then be distributed to the local Angus foodbank depot before being given to people in times of crisis.
