Local residents are to be given a chance to voice their opinion on plans for a housing development on the site of a former school at the old Edzell air base.
A spokesman for developers, Taypride of Dundee, said plans for the development at the Halsey School, Perry Road, Edzell Woods would be on show at a public consultation to be held on April 17 at Inglis Memorial Hall. She said that at this stage plans for a development were in the very early stages.
“At the consultation the public can view the development concepts and have their say on how they wish to see the site redeveloped. This is an opportunity to influence the development approach and therefore proposals exhibited at the consultation will be indicative only,” added the spokesman.
She added that any comments submitted at this stage would be processed and considered to further develop the final design proposal and were not considered as representations to the planning authority.
“There will be an opportunity to make formal representations to the planning authority if and when a planning application is submitted,” she said.
Members of the public are invited to view the plans between 10.30 a.m. and 7.30 p.m.
