Further meetings have been planned for the Edzell Long Term Conditions Support Group, following a successful first meeting.
Patients living with a long term condition in the Edzell area are invited to the meetings, which are free to attend, and include a talk from an invited speaker.
People can bring along a friend or relative and tea and coffee will be provided with plenty of time to chat. The group is open to adults living with any long term condition and aims to provide access to ongoing information, education and support from others also living with a long term condition. Future meetings will be held in the Edzell Health Centre from 2 to 4pm. Voluntary Action Angus will speak at the meeting on Tuesday, January 26 and Police Scotland at the meeting Tuesday, February 23.
Rhona Guild, Primary Care Manager and Long Term Conditions Lead for NHS Tayside (Angus) said: “Those who attended our first meeting were delighted to have access to support locally. The meeting was very positive with representatives from the other long term condition support groups in Angus sharing their experiences.”
