A few weeks ago the churches in Brechin got together to celebrate what they share, and Gardner Memorial Church was full of those from different churches praising God together.
Some may ask why. Why do we want to meet in a church every Sunday to sing hymns and pray? What is the point? Isn’t it just for older people, a tradition that they like to keep going as they have done it all their lives? However there are even bigger questions you may be asking: “Who is God?” and if he exists do we believe that he has any interest in me? Is there such a thing as life after death? Has the Bible got anything relevant to say today?
So...Brechin Churches Together, and that means a group of us from different churches in Brechin, are hoping that those who want to talk more about these questions (and any others) will join us for a chat in the Caledonian Hotel on Friday, February 6, around 5 p.m. Everyone is welcome whatever they believe. We want folks to be able to ask questions and discuss the Christian faith. If you are interested but cannot come at this time please get in touch and let us know when you can come (Ring, text or email Wendy on 07866 419526, email@example.com).
The Bible speaks of a compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness. But it also says that God is angry when acts of human mistrust and wrongdoing and lying accumulate, as people try to hide the truth. So how does this work? Let’s work this through together.
Come and join us for a drink or a cuppa at the Caledonian on Friday, February 6, between 5 and 6 p.m.!
