Brechin residents have the opportunity to put forward their views on what they consider to be the big issues in strategic planning, or to put forward details of large projects that may be in the pipeline as part an engagement exercise by TAYplan.
TAYplan sets the overall direction for how the TAYplan area will change over the next 20 years.
As part of the initial stage of reviewing its Strategic Development Plan the authority has developed an on line questionnaire based on its four outcomes.
Comments and responses can be stimulated using the outcomes - we live, work and play in better quality environments; there is sustainable economic development and the region has a better and more distinctive image; more people are healthier and we live within earth’s environmental limits.
Set up in 2008 the Strategic Planning Authority has created a strategy for major building work in Dundee, Angus, Perth and Kinross and North/East Fife.
The strategy, which replaced existing local authority Structure Plans when it was approved by Scottish Ministers in June 2012, sets out a framework for growth in the Dundee and Perth City Region.
Interested parties have seven weeks to make their views known as part of the consultation, which launched on Monday, April 22.
Responses will be used to inform TAYplan’s Main Issues Report.
Anyone interested in taking part in the consultation exercise or who wants more information about TAYplan should visit www.tayplan-sdpa.gov.uk.
