Three members of staff at Stracathro Hospital, including two Brechiners, have donated an outstanding 175 units of blood to the Scottish National Blood Transfusion Service.

Remote Blood Issue Project Nurse Jim Henderson, physiotherapy assistant Moira Beedie (both Brechin) and building supervisor Murray Paton (Forfar) have, between them, donated 175 units of whole blood to the Scottish National Blood Transfusion Service.

Jim and Moira both received Gold Award badges to mark their 50 donations of blood and Murray was presented with a Caithness glass paperweight to mark his 75 donations of blood.

The trio first started donating blood in the 70s and over the years they have continued to show their support for the service by donating blood often more than once a year.
