The company behind Brechin’s South Port housing complex is celebrating after a survey revealed 95 per cent of tenants would recommend them.
Bield, which is a provider of housing and social care for older people across Scotland, received highly positive feedback from the people who use their service in a tenant satisfaction survey.
The survey revealed 95 per cent of tenants would recommend Bield as a landlord, 94 per cent of tenants would recommend the development they live in and 90 per cent said that moving into their Bield home has improved their peace of mind.
Additionally, 88 per cent of the tenants who took part in the survey said they were satisfied with the overall service provided by Bield.
A total of 4113 postal surveys were issued to tenants and 38.4 per cent took the opportunity to have their say.
Nicola Harcus, who is assistant director of strategic support, said: “We are extremely pleased with the response to the survey. Since the last survey in 2010 nearly all the statistics have risen.
“The number of tenants saying they were ‘very satisfied’ with the service of the staff has risen 20 per cent since 2010 and those saying that moving to a Bield development has improved their peace of mind has increased by 4 per cent, which we are extremely happy about.”
She continued: “There are so many positive findings from the survey, but the survey is also useful in letting us know what the tenants want for the future. Their feedback is what guides us in making improvements to their living experience and their insight is invaluable to us.
“We have put a plan in place to develop the ways we communicate with our tenants as the survey showed that some prefer face to face communications where as others would rather be communicated with through text or email. So we want to extend the ways we communicate with our tenants to ensure they continue to feel well informed.
“Overall we are very pleased the tenants are happy and this survey has reassured us that we are providing a safe and happy environment for them.”
