DO YOU have an interest in health and want to become involved in shaping local health services in Edzell?
Edzell Health Centre is looking to establish a new Patient Participation Group (PPG) within the practice.
Patient Participation Groups are available in a number of general practices across Angus. This group will help ensure patients are able to influence future healthcare developments in the local area.
The Patients’ Participation Group will be made up of patients who are registered with the practice. No experience is necessary to become involved, just an interest in health and healthcare services.
To find out more about forming a Patient Participation Group in Edzell Health Centre a meeting will be held on Tuesday, March 12 at 6 p.m. in the health centre to which all patients registered with the practice are invited to attend.
Edzell GP Dr Marc Jacobs said: “The only way we can know we are delivering the health services that local people want is if they tell us. We are really keen to work collectively with our patients, as well as individually, to discuss ways in which current services provided at the health centre can be improved, and consider suggestions for future developments.
“We hope that many of our patients will come along to this first meeting to learn more about the proposed patient participation group, to share their views and help us start our own group in Edzell.”
