The BRECHIN Healthy Start Café starts back next week on Thursday, October 18 and will be ready to welcome mums and babies after the school break.
This free café, which is part of Angus Community Health Partnership’s Healthy Happy Communities Project, is held in the Cathedral Hall, Brechin.
It runs every Thursday between 11.30am and 1.30pm during term time.
The aim of the group is to provide a comfortable, relaxed and informal environment for pregnant women and parents with babies. From the minute they discover they are pregnant, women are welcome to come along to the café which provides a comfortable space where they can chat together and share their experiences.
The Healthy Start Café also provides a healthy snack and, over the coming weeks, there will be different activities for mums and mums-to-be to join in including Hallowe’en baby fancy dress, foot and hand painting sessions and Fire Safety in the home.
Rachel MacFarlane, Healthy Happy Communities Project Worker said: “We are very much looking forward to welcoming mums and mums-to-be back to the café.
“The café, which will be running right through until Christmas, is a great way for mums to get together, relax and have some fun.”
