Angus volunteers are sought to join Action on Hearing Loss Scotland’s ‘Hear to Help’ project including the one in Brechin.
The charity runs four hearing aid maintenance drop-ins across Angus, including one in Brechin, and is looking for people who have a couple of hours to spare every month to be part of the team.
‘Hear to Help’ offers free basic hearing aid maintenance to NHS hearing aid users as well as giving support and advice to people with hearing loss.
The project is funded by the Scottish Government and the Co-operative.
All ‘Hear to Help’ volunteers are given full training and guidance on working at the drop-ins.
Action on Hearing Loss Scotland Project Coordinator, Michelle Donoghue said: “I would be delighted for anyone who is interested in volunteering for ‘Hear to Help’ to get in touch and have a chat.
“People who have experience of hearing aids or no experience at all are very welcome to be part of this project.
“We will offer training and support to all our volunteers who in turn will be able to give practical help and advice to people in Angus who have problems with their hearing aids.”
Anyone interested should contact Michelle on 01382 201073 or e-mail on email@example.com.
