Join research panel for hearing loss charity

Action on Hearing Loss Scotland is inviting people from Brechin who have hearing loss or tinnitus to start influencing the charity’s work in the New Year by joining its research panel.

Panellists will have regular opportunities to take part in the charity’s research projects by completing short online surveys as well as through one-to-one interviews and focus groups.

Evidence gathered through the research will inform Action on Hearing Loss’s policy, services and campaigning work for a world where hearing loss doesn’t limit people and tinnitus is silenced.

Director of Action on Hearing Loss Scotland, Delia Henry, said: “Our research panel is a great opportunity for Brechin residents with hearing loss or tinnitus to help shape our work in the next year by highlighting the vital issues that affect their everyday lives.”

Action on Hearing Loss Scotland represents the 850,000 people who are deaf or have a hearing loss in Scotland.

The charity is working hard to break the barriers faced by people who are deaf or have a hearing loss.

They provide day-to-day care for people who are deaf and have additional needs. Supply communication services and training. Offer practical advice to help people protect their hearing and are campaigning to change public policy around hearing loss issues and support research into an eventual cure for hearing loss and tinnitus.

People can join the research panel by completing a short questionnaire http://svy.mk/researchpanel or e-mailing: panel@hearingloss.org.uk.
