NHS TAYSIDE’S Donation Committee is hosting its annual memorial service to pay tribute to all those who have donated organs in Tayside.
The ‘Time to Remember’ service extends an open invitation to those families and friends of loved ones who donated organs, transplant recipients, medical and nursing staff, and supporters of organ donation.
The event is being organised by NHS Tayside’s Donation Committee, in conjunction with NHS Blood and Transplant. It is taking place on Thursday, May 9, at the University of Dundee’s Chaplaincy Centre, Cross Row. The service will start at 7 p.m., (those attending should be seated by 6.45 p.m.) and will last around 45 minutes. Refreshments will be provided afterwards.
Co-chair of the committee, and chairman of NHS Tayside Sandy Watson said: “The ‘Time to Remember’ memorial service is now in its second year and is for those in Tayside whose lives have been touched or affected by organ donation.
“Members of the NHS Tayside Donation Committee decided they would like to offer those affected by organ donation an opportunity to come together to remember and reflect on those who have been generous in making this life-saving gift to others.”
