Help police combat vandalism in Brechin

Police in Brechin are investigating incidents of vandalism in the area.

Sometime between 9 pm on Tuesday, September 27, and 6 pm on Thursday, September 29, a large window at Brechin Rugby and Cricket Clubhouse was smashed. Three further windows were smashed at the clubhouse sometime over the summer period and police are appealing for any witnesses or for anyone with any information to contact them on 0300 111 2222.

Police are also urging the public when they hear, see or suspect vandalism occurring that they call them at the time of the incident. Sometime around 2.30 am, a resident of Church Street was awoken by the sound of a window smashing and subsequently found the outer pane of glass in the flat’s kitchen window had been smashed. Again, police are appealing for any information on the matter.

A wheelie bin was stolen from a property in Caldhame Place, Brechin sometime between 1 am and 4 pm on Sunday, October 2.

Police ask nearby residents to check their property in case this has been removed and dumped elsewhere as a prank.
