A plea has gone out to everyone who was a member of staff of the old Presto store in Brechin, to get in touch regarding a reunion.
Presto built the store about 20 years ago on the site of the old distillery.
Since then it has undergone several changes of name, having been Somerfield, Safeway and now The Co-op Food.
However, the basic building in Trinity Road remains the same.
The reunion is being organised by Jackie Shand, who hopes that some 30 or 40 former staff-members will turn up. Jackie can be contacted on 0777 814 8479.
The event will be on Saturday, October 18, in the Park Bar, starting at 7.30 p.m.
At least some of the original staff are proving easy to contact - they still work in the store!
Presto Foodmarkets was established in the early 1960s. In 1982 the stores were sold to Argyll Foods, Ltd. Although most of the stores were rebranded Safeway, the final stores still trading as Presto were either closed or sold during 1998.
