ARE YOU interested in art and artists?
Then why not go along to the Roseangle Gallery for the Dundee Art Society’s illustrated lecture by Kathleen Stewart on the renowned painter Joan Eardley.
Eardley was best known for her paintings of Glasgow children and tenements and from 1956, when she moved to Catterline, for her energetic east coast seascapes.
Speaker Kathleen Stewart, who paints in oils and acrylics, was first introduced to Eardley’s work in 1950.
She is particularly interested in Eardley’s seascapes as her own family come from the Stonehaven area.
Kathleen’s talk will give an insight into this remarkable artist, her style and influences. The talk takes place at Dundee Art Society’s Roseangle Gallery, 17 Roseangle, Dundee, on Friday, September 21 at 7.30 pm.
There is a small charge of £2 for guests.
