The annual Christmas raffle, which helps support the work being done at a Brechin care centre, will be drawn today (Friday).
The Dalhousie Centre Shop’s raffle will run until 11am on Friday, December 16, when the winning tickets will be drawn.
All proceeds from the raffle and items sold in the shop go to the Dalhousie Centre in Brechin to support older people in the community of Brechin and the surrounding area.
From Monday, December 12, there will be a sale of all stock with 50 per cent off until the shop closes for Christmas at 4pm on December 20.
Betty and the volunteers wish to thank everyone who has supported the shop during 2016 and look forward to welcoming you with some new stock when the shop re-opens at 10am on January 3, 2017.
Janet Penman, on behalf of the board, commented: “The board is very grateful for the support of Betty and her loyal team of hard-working volunteers. Their combined years of service add up to several hundreds of years. This is a truly remarkable record of support for our community and those who have benefitted from our services over the years. They are a great example of volunteering at its best! We thank them all very, very much.”
