Have your say

On behalf of the manager, players and committee of Brechin City FC I write to extend our thanks to our fans and the people of Brechin and district for supporting the team in the manner you did on Saturday past and in the lead up to the game.

The day itself at Glebe Park was memorable for a number of reasons.

Firstly it was great to see the ground full to capacity with both sets of supporters there for a good day out.

Secondly the game itself showed us what can be achieved when a community gets behind a club to encourage the team on to greater things.

As a club we are all very proud of our players and the day’s events.

Starting in the morning when over 50 volunteers turned up to help clear snow off the pitch to the joyous scenes at the end of the game when we knew we were still in the semi final draw.

We appreciate the patience of those who do not follow football and who may have been inconvenienced by parking or traffic issues.

Thanks to over 30 shops and businesses who decorated their premises in club colours.

It is only half time in the fixture so we hope as many Brechin fans can make the journey to Perth on March 22 to see the game out.

Yours etc.,

Ken Ferguson,

chairman, Brechin City Football Club.
