Adult Learners to have say

OVER 50 learners from across Angus are getting together later this month to share their experiences and suggest ways in which learners can have more say in the planning of learning provision in the county.

The Adult Learners' Voices event, which takes place on Thursday, January 24 at the Meadowbank Inn in Arbroath, is a new venture for the Angus Lifelong Learning Partnership.

A spokesperson for the partnership said: "The organisations involved in the partnership are committed to providing the best possible range and quality of learning opportunities in Angus and the one of the best way of ensuring we do that is by listening to the views of learners.

"Those participating in the Adult Learners' Voices event are involved in all sorts of learning activities in their communities. Some are attending college, while others are learning through volunteering and working with community organisations.

"Those planning and delivering learning need to hear about the experiences of those learners, as it will help us all to provide opportunities that are appropriate and relevant to people's lives."

Anyone interested in going along to the event should contact their local community learning and development office or call Isobelle Stratton on (01307) 476 352 or email strattonij@angus.gov.uk.
