Advice on coping with fuel poverty

People in Angus are to have access to advice on how to cope with fuel poverty for a little while longer.

A spokesman for Angus Citizens Advice Bureau said they had decided to keep a phone line and website giving advice to people to help them save money on their fuel bills open for a few more weeks.

She said that the decision came on the back of an intensive week long fuel poverty campaign they had just held.

“Our Big Energy Saving Week campaign was about giving people clear advice on how you can cut your fuel bills. Using this advice can save you hundreds of pounds over the course of a year,” she said.

She said that during the week special events had been held throughout Angus.

“It’s really important to let people know that the campaign phone line and website will continue for the next few weeks. So if you missed the information week you can still get advice,” she added.

She said the advice was free and could be obtained from.bigenergysavingweek.org.uk or from 0808 808 2282.
