Despite the unfavourable weather for this year’s gardening season, Brechin’s annual flower show bloomed in the City Hall at the weekend.
David Dyker, secretary of Brechin Horticultural Society, explained that it was quality not quantity at this year’s show: “Exhibitor numbers were down, the lowest for several years, but this was only to be expected because of the weather we have had this year.
“Quality was excellent as we always come to expects at Brechin Flower Show.
“Thanks to Steve Dempsey who presented trophies to this years winners and a big thank you to all the helpers, without whom there wouldn’t be a show.”
