Bookings now being accepted for walking festival

BOOKINGS are now being taken for the 2010 Angus Glens Walking Festival, which runs from June 3 to June 6.

Online bookings can be made at the festival's new and improved website - www.angusahead.com/walkingfestival.

"Online booking facilities will make it much simpler for walkers to book and pay for the walks and evening events they'd like to attend during this year's festival," said Mick Pawley, chair of the Angus Glens Walking Festival.

"In addition to e-booking facilities, our new, easy-to-use website contains lots of information about the festival and the Angus Glens, which we are confident will result in even more walkers coming along to the 2010 Angus Glens Walking Festival.

"However, prompt booking is highly-advised as walk numbers are restricted and places are always snapped up very quickly for certain walks, such as the Jock's Road Walk, and the Saturday night ceilidh."

Bookings can also be made by calling the VisitScotland Information Centre in Dundee on 01382 527527.

The 2010 Angus Glens Walking Festival brochure is also now available and can be downloaded or ordered at www.angusahead.com/walkingfestival or by calling 01307 473271.

It contains details of the 24 superb walks taking place across Angus during this year's Angus Glens Walking Festival, as well as information for Festival walkers.

"As well as two new walks, we've also introduced an 'extremely strenuous' walk grading for highly-experienced, very fit hillwalkers," continued Mick.

"This means that the Angus Glens Walking Festival now caters for every level of walker - from the relaxed Sunday stroller to the keenest Munro bagger."
