Cadets take to the skies

FOUR young women from Brechin have recently taken to the skies.

Laura Brymer (15), Paige Whitelaw (15), Rachel Swan (16) and Danielle Stephen (15) are all members of 2365 (Brechin) Squadron Air Training Corps and went for a flight in a Grob Tutor from number 12 Air Experience Flight at Royal Air Force Leuchars.

After her flight Paige, who was flying for the first time, described the experience as "brilliant" saying "It was fantastic, I got to take control of the aeroplane, and we did some aerobatics, I can't wait to go flying again, this is the best thing I have done in the Air Cadets"

An ATC Spokesman added "All Air Cadets have the opportunity to go flying regularly as well as the many other activities such as shooting, gliding, adventure training, local, National and International camps."

The 2365 (Brechin) Squadron are currently taking names of potential new recruits. For more information telephone (01356) 626 346 on a Tuesday or Thursday evening.
