Four-legged friends and a brace of other charities have been given an extra Christmas present from the Angus-based Taydogs Training Club.

A Christmas party is one of the highlights of the year for the group, which meets each week in Padanaram Hall, between Forfar and Kirriemuir, under the instruction of dog trainer Senga Thorpe.

Fund-raising from throughout the year culminates in the presentation of cheques to chosen causes, with Lynn Barber of the Dogs Trust this year receiving £1000.

Lynn also had the pleasure of judging the various competitions at this year’s party for the well-behaved pets and their owners.

The event also saw the presentation of two other cheques, each for £500, to Cancer research UK and Chest Heart and Stroke Scotland.
