Pets are just waiting to find new homes

This week we’re trying to help the Scottish SPCA find homes for another trio of pets just waiting for their new owners.

Rolo is an energetic border collie looking for a fun new home, currently being cared for by the Angus rescue and rehoming centre.

He is very typical of his breed in that he is extremely intelligent and energetic. He will require a family with collie experience who can provide him with plenty of mental and physical stimulation.

His favourite thing to do is play fetch, and, like most collies, is alert and interested in what is going on around him while out on walks. His new owners will have to continue his training to ensure that he becomes the best dog he can be.

Casper is an energetic and adventurous ferret who will need a lot of enrichment in his enclosure.Casper is an energetic and adventurous ferret who will need a lot of enrichment in his enclosure.

He can be quite nervous around strangers to begin with, especially men. Rolo would be best suited to an adult-only household where he is the only pet.

If you can give Rolo his new home, please apply via the Scottish SPCA website: https://www.scottishspca.org/rehome-a-pet/11514-rolo

Harold is a regal rabbit looking for his new family. currently being looked after at the Aberdeenshire centre, he is only six months old but already likes to be in charge. He is often found perched on top of his hides, surveying the world around him like a king.

He is a bit of an escape artist and tries to get out of his enclosure whenever he can, but this is only because he is a curious young bun and wants to take everything in.

Harold may be able to live with a companion rabbit, but introductions must be carried out with care.

Casper is an adventurous ferret at the Edinburgh and Lothians Centre. He is quite excitable and has boundless energy, loving nothing more than playtime. Casper can occasionally become overstimulated and nip while being handled. His new owner will have to work with him on handling to allow him to get better used to it.

Casper will need a large enclosure with lots of enrichment activities to help him to use up his energy. If you can give Caspar a home, apply at https://www.scottishspca.org/rehome-a-pet/11166-casper
