Course could be a life saver
A life-saving course is set to be held in nearby Montrose on Thursday.
A number of two-hour Heartstart Discovery training sessions in Emergency Life Support will be held at venues across the region this month.
"Being able to perform Emergency Life Support, a set of actions needed to keep someone alive until professional help arrives, gives a casualty the best possible chance of survival," said a spokesperson.
"Courses are free of charge, and no medical knowledge is required in order to undertake one of these courses. It only takes two hours to learn the skills which may some day save a life – and remember, it is very likely that the person you help may be a family member or someone close to you.
"Emergency Life Support skills really does save lives, so why not register for a session today. A Heartstart session could prove to be one of the most important training sessions you have ever undertaken in your life. You can make a difference," they added.
Places are available during December as follows: Montrose - Thursday, December 6 from to 10am to noon; Dundee - Thursday, December 13 from 7pm to 9pm or Wednesday, December 19 from 10am to noon; Perth - Saturday, December 15 from 10am to noon.
