THE INAUGURAL winner of Brechin Buccaneers Cricket Club’s Super December Draw was Elaine Sim.

A cheque for £400 was handed over from the club which was gratefully received at this time of the year.

The draw has a charge of £4 per month with 11 smaller £40 wins, with the big one in December.

Elaine said: “What a lovely Christmas present.

“My family have supported the Buccaneers Cricket Club’s draw since it started but this is my first win!”

The two other consolation winners were Mr. G. Wyness who won £200, and Mrs Hutchison with a £100 win.

Anyone that wishes to support the club can join the draw by posting an interest on their facebook page at www.facebook.com/brechin.buccaneers.

The club’s winter training restarted on January 14 at Brechin High School.

Training takes place from 6.30 p.m. to 8.30 p.m. on Monday evenings, with anyone aged 11 to 18 and with an interest cricket welcome to come along.
