Funding event for local groups
ANGUS voluntary and community groups have been invited to an event to find out more about funding opportunities and get expert advice.
The Funders Fair Plus takes place on Thursday, February 7 from 10am until 3.30pm, in Perth's Salutation Hotel and will offer the opportunity discuss funding opportunities with representatives from local and national funding bodies.
Visiting funders include The Big Lottery Fund/Awards For All, Lloyds TSB Foundation for Scotland, Scottish Community Foundation, The Robertson Trust, Comic Relief, BBC Children In Need, the three Tayside local authorities and, for those interested in loans, Social Investment Scotland. Representatives of Angus Council's external funding team are supporting the event and will be in attendance to offer advice to local groups.
There will also be workshops on Writing An Effective Application and on the Big Lottery Application Process and the Monitoring & Evaluation of projects funded.
Those attending will also have the opportunity to access and carry out searches for potential funders, using the computer program Funder Finder and also online.
