From August 4 to August 8, Edzell Church linked up with a team from Hamilton Road Presbyterian Church in Bangor, Northern Ireland, for a third successive year, to host a children’s summer holiday club.
During the week, 23 primary age children attended the club and took part in a variety of fun, games, craft, activity and songs.
A spokesperson for the holiday club explained: “The Holiday Club took the theme of the “ego Movie called ‘Awesome’, whilst the Youth Nights involved a spoof of ‘The Cube’ and ‘Total Wipeout’ TV shows. And, just as the title suggests, we had an ‘Awesome’ time.”
The events took place in and around Edzell Church hall and gardens from 10.30 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. each day.
The spokesperson continued: “At the end of it all, we had a finale on Friday evening, to which parents were invited, to see just what had been happening all week.
“In amongst all of that, we hosted “The Cube” on Tuesday and “Total Wipeout” on Thursday for young people. With the latter involving lots of water on Edzell Muir!
“All in all, it was a great week for everyone, hopefully setting the scene for a repeat performance next summer.”
