Information sought on Brechin born relatives by ex-pat
HILDA Dearden, who is originally from Dundee but is now living in Western Australia, is seeking information on her Brechin born relatives.
Since moving to Australia in 1966, Hilda has begun researching her family tree. She has focused particularly on her father’s side and has since discovered that relatives, including her grandmother and great grandmother are from the Brechin area.
During her research, she discovered her great grandmother, Mary Bearn, married David Taylor in June 26, 1871, and her address at the time was listed as 47 Bridge Street.
Further research revealed that Hilda’s grandmother, Christina Middleton, was married at Parish of Kinell Church in 1880. Christina’s mother was listed as Mary Urquhart.
Hilda would like to hear from anyone who is descended from either Mary or Christina, or from anyone with further information on the ladies.
