It has just been revealed that contact centre services specialists Journeycall are to move out of their Brechin and Laurencekirk premises later this year and relocate to Arbroath.
Chief operating officer for the company, Mr David Burdett, said that this was a very positive move for the company, the staff and the area. He stressed that none of the employees would lose their job as a result of the move. He would not confirm exactly when the move would take place.
“We are relocating to premises in Arbroath that better meet our needs. There will be no job losses. In fact we are to be recruiting over the next two years and investing £1.5million in the company,” he said.
“It has taken two years to find a building that is the proper size and meets our requirements.We have engaged with staff and carried out a survey which gives no indication that any of them would not be prepared to make the move to Arbroath. Many have indicated that they are looking forward to the move. They will be going to a much higher spec building with rest areas and a restaurant,” he added.
