‘Mum’s bus’ launched
Aberdeen bus operator, First, has launched a unique competition to pay tribute to Mums across the city ahead of Mother’s Day on March 10.
Members of the public have a once in a lifetime opportunity to display their personal Mother’s Day message on a bus.
First Aberdeen’s marketing manager, Paula Middleton, who is from Brechin, explained how the idea came about.
She said: “My daughter Samantha has a healthy obsession with buses, probably thanks to my job working at First. Every single First bus we see is ‘Mummy’s Bus’. So I thought why not bring Mum’s bus to life!”
Paula and her daughter Samantha (five) launched the competition at the First Aberdeen depot on February 15.
Paula continued: “One lucky winner will have the opportunity to show the whole of Aberdeen just how much their Mum means to them. We’re also going to throw in a free photo shoot to capture the moment when the winner unveils ‘Mum’s Bus’ in time for Mothers Day.”
