New venture for Salvation Army

The Salvation Army Community Church on Southesk Terrace, has launched a new cafe, called The Hub.

Major Jim Brown explains: “We hope it will become the hub of our community, at this end of the town. We offer a wide range of home baking and we also provide a play area for children.”

The cafe will be open on Wednesday mornings from 10 a.m. to 12 noon.

The initial launch took place on June 18. Jim added: “We had a full house with locals delighted at the free trial run.”

The church also confirmed that their Sunday meetings have now been moved to mornings (11 a.m. to noon), to better suit young families.
