Police probe vandalism
POLICE in Brechin are investigating three incidents of vandalism in the area.
Sometime between 2.30 am and 6.30 am on Sunday, the wing mirrors of a grey Skoda motor car and a blue Volkswagen Passat, both taxis, were damaged whilst the vehicles were parked and unattended in Provost Buchan Road, Brechin.
Between 9 pm and 9.30 pm, on Wednesday, June 13, the outer pane of one window and the double glazed bathroom window of a flat in Back Braes was smashed.
The property is in a block of four flats.
Police are keen to trace three young males wearing hooded tops that were seen in the area of Back Braes, Brechin around that time.
Between 4 pm on Sunday, June 10 and 8.30 am on Thursday, June 14, the rear offside tyre of a Silver Saab motor car was slashed with a sharp implement whilst the vehicle was parked in a parking bay in Kinnaird Place, Brechin
Police are appealing for anyone with any information in regard to any of these crimes to contact them to call at Brechin office (call 0300 111 2222 or call anonymously on 0800 111 555, the Crimestoppers line).
Found property: This month’s unclaimed property includes a car key with a local garage fob, two bank notes, found separately, a child’s orange bike and a house key found just outside Edzell.
Please call in at the Brechin police office to enquire Monday to Friday between 9 am to 1 pm.
Keyholders: Local businesses, owners of alarmed properties, etc., are reminded by police in Brechin to update them with any changes to the contact information.
This prevents previous key holders being contacted in the early hours unnecessarily and allows any concerns with the property to be quickly investigated.
If you have any changes, you should call the non-emergency number or pop in to the police office (between 9 am and 1 pm).
“If you are going on holiday, please provide us with alternative or temporary contact numbers,” adds a police spokesperson.
“If you have a new business and have not advised us of your contact details, please do so as soon as possible.”
