Summer fun for all at Brechin Leisure Centre

There are no excuses for not having something fun to do in Brechin this summer, thanks to the local leisure centre.

Brechin Leisure Centre have organised plenty for locals old and young to take part in over the coming weeks.

A spokesman for the centre said they were particularly keen to let people know about their new adult exercise timetable, which is to be held at Brechin City Hall every Friday morning until September.

The spokesman explained: “We have introduced a new Zumba class from 10 to 10.45 a.m., and a new fit steps class from 10.45 to 11.30 a.m.. which will be based on movement from Strictly Come Dancing routines.

“These are new classes in a different venue and the coaches need your support so come along and enjoy the exercise sessions every Friday. Bring a friend and enjoy the classes together!”

Staff at the centre are also making sure that the children don’t feel left out.

The spokesman said: “We are now well into the swing of the school summer holiday break and the Brechin Leisure Centre Holiday Clubs are under way.”

These are held Monday to Friday between 2 to 4 p.m. and are aimed at primary school aged children.

He added: “Our Holiday Club activities include football competitions, clay model making, art competitions, nature trails and more.

“So make the most of the fantastic weather and come on down to our events throughout the summer.”
