Tayside Police issue further weather advice

Tayside Police can confirm that due to standing water there is currently no access to Kingsmuir in Angus from the Forfar side.

Anyone wishing to enter the village by vehicle will require to approach from via the A932 Forfar to Friockheim road and turn right for Letham, entering Kingsmuir via Dunnichen.

Anyone who is travelling should allow plenty of time for their journey, reduce their speed and drive according to the conditions. This includes keeping a safe distance from the vehicle in front and using dipped headlights where appropriate.

Tayside Police would advise people to make use of traffic information websites such as www.trafficscotland.org or Twitter@trafficscotland.

For weather and traffic information, members of the public should refer to TV, radio and websites, as well the Met Office alert area on its website http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/public/weather/warnings/
