Montrose and Brechin Cats Protection are looking for new forever homes for a number of wonderful cats that they have in care just now.

Hicks, a white male, and Tigtog, a tabby girl, are two friendly senior citizens who have come into care because their owner was no longer able to look after them.

“They are devoted to one another, and love to sleep cuddled up together,” explained Jenny Turball of the Cats Protection league.

“Mr Chips is a very handsome large black and white cat, who was rescued as a stray from outside a fish and chip shop in a neighbouring town.

“He was very, very thin and had a serious eye infection.

“Now fully restored to health he is ready to be rehomed. He loves company and would make an excellent gardening supervisor!”

Some of the other cats looking for new homes include the pretty and fluffy Molly with her lovely brown eyes, the lively and playful tabby and white Daisy, the beautiful black Smudge, the lovely tabby Katy and the gentle shy black and white Ludo.

“If anyone would like to offer a new home to any of our cats please call 0845 3712738,” added Jenny.

“If no one is available to take your call please leave a message.”

Jenny also reminded cat owners that if your cat goes missing call the branch as it may have been taken in as a stray.

Last year a number of cats were reunited with their owners with branch help.
