Vandalism reports in Brechin

About 5 a.m. on Sunday, October 21, the living room window of a second floor flat in Southesk Terrace was smashed when an unknown person threw a hammer through it. The occupants were at home at the time and could have been injured as they were in the living room.

Some time between 11.30 p.m. on Thursday October 18, and 12.30 a.m. on Friday October 19, a picnic bench, one of two which sits outside The Swan, Swan Street, Brechin for use of its customers, was vandalised.

About 7 p.m. on Thursday October 18, a first floor flat within Crockatts Buildings, Montrose Street, had it’s living room window smashed.

Two persons were seen in the street at the time and Police are keen to speak with them.

At about 8.10 p.m. on Thursday, October 18, the offside light cluster of a red VW Polo was smashed while the vehicle was parked and unattended in Pearse Street, Brechin.

The perpetrator took off on a motorbike.

About 2.45 a.m. on Thursday, October 18, a door of a flat in Nursery Park was kicked in and damage caused to the lock.

Between 6.30 and 9.30 p.m. on Tuesday, October 16, a toughened security glass panel on a Common Close door to flats in Montrose Street, Brechin, was damaged when it was kicked.

Police are appealing for witnesses or for anyone with any information regarding these crimes to contact them as soon as possible either at Brechin Police Office or by calling 0300 111 2222.
