A Macmillan Coffee Day took place at Brechin High School on September 25,

and proved to be a big

success.

Not only did pupils and school staff get involved to support the event, community links were created with Bearehill Care Home after carers and residents showed their support too.

A total of £471.59 was raised for Macmillan, a sum which Brechin High can be very proud of.

Thanks were given to the school’s Head Team, and to those who supported the day, making it a high standard event and very enjoyable for everyone.

Next big event planned by the team is a Hallowe’en Disco.

All primary seven pupils from the cluster schools are invited to attend a Hallowe’en Disco on October 30 at the Assembly Hall from 6.30 to 9pm. A Head Team spokesperson explained: “Admission is free all you need to do is dress up and have fun.”

Current S1 students will also be able to attend this disco (tickets cost £3) in a move to make the transition process easier for the P7 next year.

The spokesperson added: “Pupils will create and bonds and friends within the school.”

Taking place for the first time event at Brechin High will be a ‘Terror Tour’, which is available for an additional 50p, and the spokesperson said: “This will be an amazing experience and the Head Team is thankful to the Parent Council who are funding the P7 dance with £200 for decor and other essential items”

There will also be an S2 to S4 dance (£5 entry) on October 27 and an S5 to S6 dance on October 30 (£7 entry).
