Macmillan Cancer Support’s Brechin committee has taken over the Edzell Charity Shop and will be there until Tuesday, April 30. The shop is open from 10 a.m., to 4 p.m., from Monday to Saturday and 1 to 4 p.m. on Sunday.

Macmillan’s recently issued new campaign ‘No One Should Face Cancer Alone’ is hoped to reach as many people as possible who are affected by cancer.

Unfortunately, approximately two million people are living with cancer in the United Kingdom and as our population grows and ages it is thought that number will increase to four million by 2030.

At present, one in four people diagnosed with cancer lack support from family or friends during their treatment and recovery. Macmillan wish to put forward two messages in an attempt to help these people.

“Give support - No one should face cancer alone. With your support, no one will. Get support - No one should face cancer alone. With our support, no one will.”

To achieve these goals, Macmillan needs to raise more money than ever, please come along to the Charity Shop in Edzell, buy a new spring outfit or something different for your home, try the raffle and help to support those living with cancer.
