A Brechin family has raised a staggering £2358 for facilities at Stracathro Hospital.
Claire and Laura Taylor, held a Body Shop party to raise £1200 for the stroke unit at Stracathro Hospital in memory of Lynne Taylor and Graham Ogilvie’s mum Zena Ogilvie who sadly died in January, 4 2010.
Zena was well known for her fund-raising efforts, raising thousands of pounds for various cancer charities over the years.
Lynne Taylor said: “Originally the money was going to be for mum for when she got out of the stroke unit at Stracathro. Unfortunately she died of a stroke before she could get home.
“Mum liked and enjoyed her time at the Stroke Unit so we thought that it would be fitting to donate this money to them.”
Before Zena died she had held a charity night at the Brigend Bar in Brechin to raise money for cancer in memory of her friend Moira Craig.
The evening proved to be a huge success with £1158 being raised for the Macmillan Centre at Stracathro Hospital.
