Will Aid’s “Make a Will” month in November is fast approaching with local solictor Shiells taking part.
Make a will month is a great opportunity for you to protect your loved ones by writing a proper, valid Will and at the same time help people in need in the UK and around the world.
Instead of charging their usual fees for a basic Will during the month of November, Shiells invite will-makers to make a donation to the Will Aid charities.
The suggested donation is £90 for a single Will, £135 for a pair of mirror Wills and £40 for a codicil.
The money raised is shared between the participating charities (ActionAid, Age UK, British Red Cross, Christian Aid, NSPCC, Save the Children, Sightsavers, SCIAF and Trocaire) and provided vital funds to help people in the UK and around the world to build their communities and improve their futures.
Last year’s campaign enabled around 27,000 people to make a proper Will to protect their loved ones and raised £2.2 million of Will Aid charities.
For peace of mind it is very important to seek professional help to write a Will.
Only then can people feel confident that their Will is valid and their wishes will be carried out. Many people don’t make a Will because they assume that their partner will automatically inherit everything. This is not true.
