Dalhousie Day Care Centre honoured a staff member who was marking her 25th year of service with the Centre.
Margaret Findlater was originally employed as a care assistant/driver on January 29, 1991.
Ten years later, she then took on the post as full-time driver and handyman, and has driven the bus, nicknamed Bessie, ever since.
The Board of Brechin Day Care Ltd attended celebrations for Margaret last Friday. The centre had musical entertainment in form of karaoke music therapy, where songs were sang by staff and Supported People.
A bus-shaped cake was also organised to mark the occasion, and Margaret was presented with a beautifully sparkly heart-shaped necklace. That particular shape was chosen because, as Jo Grieve from the centre explained: “Margaret is the heart of the Dalhousie Centre.”
Jo added: “Margaret is well known in the community, so there is a lot of tooting and waving around the town when she is driving about.
“The supported people at the centre love her, the staff love her, everyone loves Margaret.”
